Earth Likely to Relocate in Galactic Collision

Earth Likely to Relocate in Galactic Collision: "The sun and Earth will probably be spun out into a lonely region of space when the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies finish colliding about five billion years from now, researchers say in a new study.

There's also a small chance that our solar system will be swept from its home in the Milky Way and scooped up by Andromeda during an earlier close encounter, in just three-and-a-half-billion years."

And this affects us how? I mean, like we really care what is going to happen in 3.5 BILLION years from now???
Okay, so it might be something that people want to think about that are scientific types. But, when was the last time that something that would affect the world hundreds let alone billions of years in the future impacted what you were going to do tomorrow? Oh well, nice to know some people have THIS MUCH time on their hands.
